the freedom of two

a dog and a guitar

An unrelated photo of Penny Lane. It’s one of my favorites.

So, I think I’ve finally recovered from the fact that my high school reunion is next year. I’m kidding, that’s a dramatization (I’m really good at those).

I must say, though, that it has been a really strange week for many reasons that I choose not to bore you with at this point. It has me thinking, why is it that by the end of the week we so desperately wait for those minutes to click by until the weekend arrives? I mean, the answer is obvious. Most of us live for the weekends.

I really want to strive to change my mindset about the weekdays. That’s a new goal of mine as of just this very minute. It’s easier said than done, of course. It takes practice. I want to see the beauty in every single day and stop counting down through the five days that lead up to the freedom of two.

Anyway, that’s just a thought. Luckily, I have two days to work on that new mindset of mine. Thank goodness.

Happy weekend, you crazy animals!
