Oh, hey! Hey guys! It’s snowing in the south! You know, just in case you hadn’t heard.

Just kidding, I know you’ve heard. I’m sure a good amount of you have already dealt with plenty of snow. But, you guys, this Florida girl is LOVING this. Of course it helps that logistically, we’re all good. Adam is working to my left, the dogs are sleeping (for now) and our families are safe.

know not everyone has had it so easy with this snow and this is nothing compared to the feet upon feet of snow a lot of you have had. It’s much different here and we may seem like wimps, but we don’t have the tools to deal with this. Eight inches of snow and counting, is our guess. They have named this “Snowstorm 2014″ because there’s no need to get specific on a storm name, this is the only storm we will get this year.

Yesterday, we ventured out into the eight inches of snow we received and in the south? In the south, that equals close to ghost town status. It was sleeting on us, I was quite cold, but it was worth it getting to experience this environment that is so foreign to us.

In reality, we’re like two kids right now, having the time of our lives and taking work breaks to build snowmen. Anyone else on a snow day?

I love how peaceful the snow is! We have been blanketed in snow since mid-January and are eager for a thaw, but I still love seeing how gorgeous the landscape is all blanketed in white!

So fun! Oregon winter has sort of been a bust this year. Then, the one snowfall we actually got I was in Hawaii for! (Not complaining about the Hawaii part… but sad I missed it!)
