Adam has been dying to see Ender’s Game since it start playing in theaters. No, wait, scratch that. Since WAY before it came out in theaters. I, on the other hand, had absolutely no ounce of desire to see it. None. Why waste good money and sit through a two-hour movie that I wasn’t excited to see? Here’s the deal, on a scale of 1-10 (in terms of how much I want to see a movie), I need to be at a seven to be motivated to see it in theaters. I was at a one with this one. So, I dropped Adam off to see it. By himself. He actually likes watching movies alone, thankfully.
I, on the other hand, got to go home and completely bypass cleaning the kitchen to make even more of a mess with stovetop popcorn. I know, I’m practically a shoe-in for best wife ever. I then sat down to “You’ve Got Mail” for the millionth time and was utterly happy about the whole darn thing. That’s a Sunday afternoon, I tell you.
Here’s a new playlist for your week. A good mix of songs from my some of my favorite movie soundtracks.
I also want to take a moment to thank our veterans for sacrificing so much for our freedom! You take time from your families, you risk your lives and sacrifice the comfort of home so that we can feel safe. Wow. You are all, truly, heroes. Today and every day. Thank you, also, to the spouses and family members of those serving. It can’t be easy wondering how your loved one is doing and missing precious time with them. Thank you, as well, for your sacrifices.
