Halloween 2013

posted on: Friday, November 1, 2013

We came, we saw, we passed out candy, we played Apples to Apples, we did NOT conquer Apples to Apples, we ate delicious food and it was the best Halloween in Charlotte yet. You win, Halloween 2013. I’m so grateful for the great friends we’ve made here since we moved into town. I am not so grateful for my sweet tooth that allowed me to devour a heaping pile of candy. It was certainly one of those adult moments that made you realize your parents were right all along and eating too much candy in one sitting really ISN’T a good idea. Who knew? Just kidding, I totally knew. Worth it. It was sort of hilarious to see the pile of wrappers we were all contributing to, as evidenced by the photo above.

And now? Now it’s November. A brand new month of infinite possibilities. I see cinnamon brooms, layers, turkey, stuffing and fall colors in my future. It’s sure to be a great one. It’s also Friday after five and pretty much my favorite time of the week. It’s also one of my very favorite weekends of the year. Sleep in all you want Sunday because we get an EXTRA HOUR of the weekend. Sounds just fine by me. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour and take back that hard-earned time to have just a little more Sunday. I’m certainly looking forward to it and I hope you are too!

Happy weekend, friends.

  • Glad you had a great Halloween! I am sooo ready for Christmas. haha
