My favorite photo from the weekend. My crew on a Saturday morning.

We’ve been spending most of our weekends at home lately. I think it’s safe to say that these have been the most consecutive weekends we’ve spent in Charlotte since we moved here a year and a half ago. We usually travel to the mountains about once a month but with the roads being so icy lately, we’ve been hunkering down in Charlotte.

Weekends at home are the best and so needed these days, as life has been a bit stressful. Thankfully, we’re starting to feel a little release from that stress and I’m just hoping the trend continues. The good days are starting to roll in and oh friends, what a relief! We’re needing those good ones. Thankfully, we had a great weekend to cap off a great week.

We had a lazy Saturday in, except for the fact that we both worked out on Saturday morning. I had to make note of that because A) I’m proud of us and B) it makes me feel better about the raspberry jelly-filled donuts from Krispy Kreme we enjoyed the next day. It was a rainy, dreary day and meant for having at least a few lazy hours cozied up on the couch, right? We ran our usual errands later in the day, which I now look forward to on the weekends. Even mundane tasks such as grocery shopping are more fun with my bud. Saturday night we had dinner with friends. Sunday we went to church, watched a few hours of Burn Notice(one of our favorite shows) and then took the dogs on a long walk in the gorgeous weather we had. Mid-sixties and sunny? Oh Spring, you’re a tease. We came home, made dinner and watched most of the Oscars.

Our weekend, ladies and gentleman. Hope you had a wonderful one yourselves!

  • yes yes girl! i totally feel you! part of our new years resolution was to stay in charlotte more, and it feels so good to stay around town and get things crossed off the to-do list!

also, the perfect weather sunday definitely helped pull me out of my winter funk! hopefully springtime/sunshine will bring a bunch of good days for you too :)
