Well, we had quite the weekend over here at the Hill household. Saturday was snow day. If you follow me on twitter, you know that I finally had my first date with snow! We’re into each other, snow and me. I know. I KNOW. For most of you, this would be just another ordinary day. For us in Charlotte? For us it was the first day of accumulating snow in over two years. For me it was my first snowfall at home. I live in a place where it sometimes but rarely SNOWS! We’re not in Florida anymore, Toto. We quickly realized that snow here is not just a weather forecast, it’s an event, people. I instagrammed the heck out of Saturday, I was just so excited. Oh yes, a whole blog post of snowy photos is impending. Get pumped.

Sunday, I was up quite early to get my hair and makeup done for a photo shoot that I was modeling for to help out Jen and Jessica with their new business venture. Twenty-degree temperatures and I was wearing a short-sleeved top and skirt with tights. And flats. In snow. I don’t know if I’ve ever been that cold, but it was truly worth it. I can’t wait to see (and share) the photos that Jessica took. But now? Now it’s Monday. Most of the snow has melted away and it’s back to reality. Can I go back to winter wonderland yet?

  • Very cute and comfy! This is something I would totally wear!

  • Oh man, I feel like Texas and Florida are similar in many ways weather-wise. I’m glad someone else gets it! Oh and I’m digging gray too! I was wondering if the sweater over the stripes would be too much, but I like it. Thanks so much for stopping by, Kelli! I’m heading right on over to your blog now!

  • Yay for a fellow North Carolinian! I know, you guys got even more didn’t you? I saw news reports Saturday morning and wished I was in Raleigh. Hope you didn’t have to go anywhere that day!
