I took some photos around the house and outside yesterday. The sun was setting beautifully and I was inspired by it’s light peeking behind the tree limbs in my front yard. I love when photos show off the sun’s rays, but I could never figure out how to get them to show in my photos. My camera always seemed to correct them and I wanted nothing more than to embrace them. This may seem silly to those who know their cameras in and out, but I’m learning.
That’s why I love just taking my camera and playing around, learning how different settings affect a photograph. I adjusted a few things and there they were! The sun’s rays peeked beautifully through the trees and into my lens. It’s just a hobby and certainly not my career(not by a long shot), but I really love photography and trying to capture what inspires me through photographs. I have a long way to go, but every time I learn something new or get that desired affect that I’d been searching for, it’s a little victory for me.
I also took photos of these crazy clowns during the few minutes they were calm. Just a few minutes though, they’re pretty darn crazy most of the day.
We built a frame for underneath our couch as you can see, otherwise Nola pushes toys under there and then goes crazy scratching the couch and barking at it to try and retrieve the ball. It’s been a lifesaver.
Nola’s in this bark-in-your-face and all-I-want-you-to-do-is-chase-me-while-I-go-freaking-nuts phase. It’s SO FUN, let me tell you. She’s still a puppy and just has way too much energy. I tend to forget that and just think she’s a pain in the butt most of the time. I’m hoping she calms down, even just a little bit, when she turns two. I hear two is the magic number. Oh dear Lord, let two be the magic number. She’s a hot mess.
Oh and despite loving my hair naturally curly these days, I had to straighten it on account that it was freezing and only 6% humidity and, well, darn it if I’m not going to enjoy straight hair on a rare dry day. So there’s that.
There’s also my sad attempt to lift Penny up for a picture. She looks smaller than she really is…or I seriously need to keep pumping iron at the gym.
