It’s a Christmas-themed movie snack

So, we were going to go to the mountains to get our Christmas tree from my mom and step-dad’s property and see them, but after traveling last week and being exhausted/stressed/overwhelmed by life this week, we’re taking the weekend off and staying home. We’ll be getting our Christmas tree this weekend here in Charlotte instead and I’ll force feed Adam Christmas cookies and movies. Okay, he won’t need help with the cookies but that guy does not love Christmas movies like I do. Oh no, that’s a special relationship reserved for me and me alone. Well, me and my family. It had to come from somewhere, right?

My favorite Christmas movies in no particular order: Miracle on 34th Street(the newer one), Christmas Story, The Santa Claus, Elf, and Christmas Vacation. The usual suspects.

It’s times like these that I wish I had cable. ABC Family has the best nightly lineup of Christmas movies and I seem to be missing a few of my DVDs. Maybe I do need that creepy elf on the shelf to keep a lookout for Christmas movie stealing thieves. Or Christmas movie hiding husbands…hmmm.

So that’s my weekend in a nutshell. A Christmas themed nutshell(would those be chestnuts?), as all December weekends should be.

Happy weekend!

P.S. A hug and high five to whoever figures out where the quote in my blog title is from.

  • Sounds very relaxing :) I love just staying home and watching movies. I’m still curious when your gonna share that cookie recipe..I think it was Gingernaps with marshmellow creme? ;) I hope I didn’t miss it. Have a great week sweet friend! Xo

  • I love that photo! And ABC Family around the holidays–they know how its done!
