This weekend…

This weekend, I’m craving.

Exercise. Yep, exercise. I know, I know. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Which reminds me, I’m also craving lots of cups of tea.

Back to the exercise.

I’m craving exercise after experiencing an amazing spin class yesterday. A couple in our bible study just opened a studio here in Charlotte called Flywheel Sports. If you’re in Charlotte, definitely go check it out! It was awesome. I had my butt thoroughly kicked and it was humbling to see how completely out of shape I am. So yes, I’m craving activity and exercise. I’m determined to get back into shape!

On that note, I’m craving time cleaning out our fridge and pantry and filling it with healthy and whole foods. We’re slowly getting our healthy eating back on track and getting our activity level back up will definitely help that. After the class last night, all I wanted was a fresh smoothie. The thought of eating junk food sounded to unappealing. The more you exercise, the less you crave that stuff. At least, that’s how it works for me..

Adam has to work all day Saturday and I’ll be working for a few hours as well, but hopefully we can have a relaxing evening and maybe take Nola for a walk in the park nearby.

Cooler weather. Thank goodness, the weather is going to cool off for the weekend. Also, thank goodness for rain! So much green pollen floating in the air, it smells like a giant flower. A little rain will be good for allergies and our cars. That’s for sure.

Guitar practice. I have a couple songs learned(for the most part). I’m starting a list of songs I want to learn and can hopefully complete that list by the end of the year!

  • Yeah girl! Spinning is ridiculously fun for some reason. I’m glad you liked it. And yes I totally get the healthier cravings when I’ve worked out. And then the less I exercise the more I want junk. It reminds me of this poem: There was a little girl/ who had a little curl/ right in the middle of her forehead./. And when she was good she was very good indeed/ but when she was bad she was horrid.

  • I’ve never tried spinning…kinda scared to from everything I’ve heard, but I should get back into a real exercise routine! I’m looking forward to eating healthier this weekend, I was away for a conference for work all week. And it’s cooling off here too…much needed! I’m not ready for 80s in March :)

  • So fun but SO tough!! Yes, it’s so true though! Once we get in the habit you crave the junk less and less. I need to work on this! With my birthday today, all I want is cake!

  • No! Please try it. Give it at least one shot. Most classes are dimmed and everyone is worrying about their own workout. You don’t have to adjust your bike where they tell you to. They’d tell me to jack up the resistance and I’d put it lower, haha! My legs could not handle it!
