I love music. LOVE music. It’s my heart and my passion. I love going to shows and last night was one of the best nights I’ve ever had. I got to see my favorite band play live and was blessed with front row seats. Whit came with and we enjoyed one of the best few hours of music I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. First off, the night began with the most amazing opening set ever. Milo Greene is going to blow up next year, I can feel it. Their original songs are incredible, but they also played a cover of Sufjan Stevens’ “Chicago” which is one of my favorites by him and it was fantastic. They’re all singers so the harmonies are to die for. They’re also incredibly fun to watch perform. Check them out on their website and YouTube for some of their performances. Amazing! After the show we actually got to meet the members of Milo Greene, the guys were super nice and Marlana was so sweet. Then, The Civil Wars. Oh my gosh, just as incredible as I’d hoped and imagined. You may think I’m crazy, but I had tears in my eyes throughout most of the songs. I was in awe of how talented they were. Just them, a guitar and a piano. That’s it. Purely talent driven. Plus Joy is the cutest, I just absolutely adore her!

All-in-all, one amazing night. I can’t get over how great it was. If you get the chance, please check out both of these bands and see them live ASAP!

  • Lady, you have FANTASTIC taste in music! LOVE The Civil Wars!

  • I saw the link to your blog from MG’s twitter and I just had to come read! I saw them on Monday and fell in love. I might have enjoyed seeing MG more than the Civil Wars! :p But it was a great concert!

I feel like such a geek I had no idea what you were talking about when you were posting the pics on instagram about civilheros and thought it was some kind of civil war movie you were going to! I literally had to google them! lol Looks like you had fun!!!

  • Chelsea

oops that should be Civil wars NOT civil heros.

  • Thank you! I just love good music. They were amazing! Have I said that enough? No? AMAZING! ;)

  • Oh YAY! Hello there. :) Did they RT my link? Either way, so glad you made it to my blog! I feel like they were both very talent driven, but two different styles completely. I felt like dancing in my seat throughout MG’s set and for TCW’s I was just sitting in awe the whole time. Both were incredible. An amazing pair for one show.

  • Haha, I tweeted/instragrammed up a storm last night. I geeked out a bit. No worries! Please check them out though, they are fantastic!

  • I am SO very jealous! They were in my city awhile back, but I had a prior commitment that night and couldn’t go. I was so disappointed!

  • Eeeeeep! This got me sooo excited to see them on January 26th!! :) You and I have both had to be patient souls (since BOTH of our shows got post-phoned) but reading this made me so thankful for just the opportunity to see them!! I’m so happy you had a great time and your seats could not be any more amazing!!!!

  • They are well worth the wait!! I’m so excited for you! I wish I could see them a hundred more times.
