Weekend success.

This weekend was a success! Checked off most of the things off of my list. A slow morning that involved a pancake breakfast, took Nola to her weekly training class where we saw a 220 found Mastiff. Really..and all I wanted to do was snuggle with him. No joke. Just a big ol’ bear, that boy. Poor Nola was too scared of his sheer size and wanted nothing to do with him.

We spent some time at Starbucks, reading. Sometimes we need time to get out of the house, get quiet and read. It was very much needed! We also headed out for a day date to see “In Time”. We liked it, but I’d still recommend renting it.

{ A dark movie theater does not a good iPhone picture make. }

Sunday we went to church, ran some errands, relaxed, took the pup to the dog park and watched plenty of How I Met Your Mother.

{ This also may have happened. Worth it. }

‘Twas(I feel the need to say ’twas during the holiday season) a wonderful weekend and as always, I’m sad to see it go. But this week will be a little more relaxed than the last and for that, I’m thankful.

Dare I say happy Monday? No? Okay then.

  • My boyfriend has a mastiff and I love her…so huge but cute! & that ice cream is amazing, my favorite!

  • Krystina

    Omg! How did you do that to your hair? Did you just get highlights? You can barely tell it was previously so dark.

    I want to get back to my natural (dark blonde) and right now I have 3-4in roots and the rest is a medium reddish brown. I don’t know what to do!

  • Definitely go see a professional! The first time I did it, I just had the color stripped and then hair highlighted, but it looked a bit brassy. This time, my stylist just heavily, heavily highlighted it(full highlights). I had to go in twice to get it as light as it is now and it’s a few shades lighter than that picture makes it look.

    Find pictures of shades of blond you like, or the picture of your natural color, and bring it to a stylist. It’s $$, but the only way to do it! I’d even try for an Aveda or Paul Mitchell hair school and go to a master stylist, it’ll save you money but it may not be as good as going to a pro.

    Also, my roots are a lot blonder than the rest of my hair, because they were growing in to. So expect that to happen a little bit, its not big deal but just a heads up for you. Good luck!!

  • Oh my gosh, lucky! I loved that dog. I wanted to just lay my head on him and watch a movie. So sweet!
