I’m a goofball, what can I say? Just being overdramatic in the maze. Like any normal person, really.

We were told it’s actually sugar cane, not corn and I have the biggest sweet tooth. Straight from the source?

So this weekend, Adam and I headed off to our first pumpkin patch ever. In Florida we’d just find a church selling pumpkins and we’d usually sweat our butts off lugging our pumpkins to the car. Now that we’re more North, we hunted down a pumpkin patch for an afternoon outside. We’re trying to make our own new traditions right now, so we’re up for any and all Fall activities. As Adam says, I’m all about the family traditions.

We’ve already gone to the apple orchard and the pumpkin patch was next.

We headed to a farm about thirty minutes away where they had a mini farmers market, a maze, farm animals and pumpkin painting. We went through the maze without getting completely lost and picked out a small pumpkin since the big ones were a bit pricey. We plan on painting our pumpkins in lieu of carving them so hopefully we find time this week to do just that. I love these little adventures with my best friend, exploring our new city and trying new things. We need this time to feel more settled, have fun and explore.

I’m loving every minute of it!

P.S. I’m over at Scenic Glory today! Head on over to see my interview. I also picked a winner for the Shabby Apple giveaway! Head on over to see if you’re a winner.

  • You’re cute. :) I’m all about family traditions, too. I love having something to look forward to every week or every holiday season.

  • Absolutely! This is my favorite time of year and I can’t wait to have things to do every season for my (future) kids to look forward to. All about the memories!

  • Those little piglets are SO CUTE!

  • They are! Look at the little tushies!! Hahaha.

  • Hi Katy! I found you via Scenic Glory. I moved from Milwaukee, WI to Charlotte, NC and have been here for three years! Don’t you just love this city! Oh, and I’m now following you btw! Nice blog.
