{ My favorite pair of boots. }

I love accessories. Really, really, really love them! That’s why I’m SO excited that Maggie of Gussy Sews chose accessories as the prompt for inspiration workshop this week.

I don’t have the biggest clothing budget(as in pretty much $0) right now, so to change it up a bit, I like to pick up a few accessories and mix and match with my outfits. It makes a huge difference in how I feel. After wearing the same things over and over, just changing one little thing can make it feel brand new again. The right accessories make me feel much more put together and confident.

I like to get most of my jewelry from places like H & M or Forever 21, since they’re super inexpensive. If I have $10 to spend, I can usually buy two necklaces and a ring. Love it! I have a few expensive pieces of jewelry and pairs of shoes as well that were gifts. I usually ask for big staples like that for Christmas. They last forever!

{ I love my Hunter boots and this jacket. }

Here are some other accessories that I’m loving right now.

Light As A Feather by Shabby Apple**

Tiny Twig by Lisa Leonard

Knot Ring by June Designs.

I’m a little obsessed with headbands lately. Perhaps it’s our version of the fascinator? I think what appeals me to them, is that it can dress up a messy bun or ponytail. I’m always looking for something to dress up my look on those days where I don’t feel like doing much to my hair.

Ombre Flower by The Trendy Owl

Tan burlap & Canvas Flower  by Principessa Bows

Plum Pearl Ruffle by Just Lovely Things.

Some of the main accessories that I will be searching for and wearing is winter accessories. I have a few knit hats and a pair or, well, a pair and a half(I always lose at least one) of mittens, but definitely need to build up a collection! For my first cold winter, I want to make sure I look and feel good, even when bundled up. Here are some things on my list to achieve that.

White vintage mixed button glove by Jennifer Rizzo

Circle Scarf by Blue Birds Fly Boutique

The essential pair of boots. I’m a little obsessed with boots!

  • I’m totally with you on the boots, Katy! I love a good boot. And that tiny twig necklace is SO adorable. Thanks for sharing your favorite accessories!

  • I think everyone looks cute in the fall because we are not sweaty!

  • Haha, good point! I just love layers and Fall colors. :)

  • Me too1 A good boot makes an outfit for me! Lisa makes gorgeous jewelry, definitely check her out!

  • I think I am in love with those boots. I am wearing my tall boots that I got last year at Target – I love tall boots with skinny jeans this time of year – and with tights when it gets a wee bit colder!

  • LOVE the boots! If it would just get cold enough for me to wear them ;)

  • Those necklaces are really pretty – I love the twig one. I’m planning on getting boots as a Christmas gift this year, I save my $$ things for gifts also.

    Thanks for being honest about your affiliation and explaining how it works. I really respect that.

  • I love the boots too! I totally wish I had snatched them up before they sold out online! The tall boots I have are from Target also. Love them! :)

  • That’s how I felt living in Florida! Never a great time for boots, with the exception of a good month or two. Love getting consistently cool weather so early here in NC! :)

  • I just posted a giveaway for the first necklace! :) Thanks for your note on the affiliation. I just want to be really honest and never want anyone to get the wrong idea. I love the company and think they have beautiful things, honestly. Thank you for your comment!
