I was tagged by the lovely Heather to do the “My 7 links” post. So, here you go!

I’d have to vote for the post where we adopted our Nola. We’d almost adopted a puppy last year, but were told at the last minute we weren’t allowed to have a dog in our place after we’d originally been told we could. Long story. I cried myself to sleep that first night. A dog isn’t just an animal to us, a dog is a part of our family. We’d see people walking dogs and my heart would ache. I couldn’t wait for a furbaby. This was so much more than us having a new pet. This was a new family member, and we love her!

On Adam’s birthday this year, I wrote him a little love note. Well, people sure do love love! This is the most popular post on my blog and I love that because it was just me opening my heart to my hubby on his special day. He was at work and I knew he read the blog during the day and that’d it’d be a sweet surprise. He’s my favorite.

I’m not really a controversial writer. Perhaps most “controversial”(if you can even call it that) was my intro post to this blog since I was saying goodbye to a whole blogging niche. I completely changed my blog, the name, everything. I found MY voice and made a drastic change which was scary and crazy, but it works and I’m SO happy I made the change. I finally feel like myself and that’s what blogging should be. A chance for us to share our unique voices.

This one sort of makes me laugh. I revealed the secrets and benefits to registering and using a Starbucks gift card. Seriously, free soy milk and syrup! Everyone should know this!! Spread the word! ;)

I suppose this one would go to the North Carolina video post. I worked really hard on that video and was super proud of it. To get the comments I received was wonderful but, to be completely honest, I’d hoped for a little more. That’s the thing with blogging, a lot of the posts I put my heart and soul into don’t get as much attention as others. No rhyme or reason, really. But I love the chance to bring it back up now.

I’m not a fashion blogger, but I LOVE expanding my style and I’m slowly working on refining it, so when I posted about taking inspiration from one of my favorite singer/songwriters, Sara Bareilles, I was (and am still) surprised at how many views it still got. Has my wheels turning about future fashion posts, but we’ll see! I was also surprised at how much people loved the animation.

The post where I officially announced our move to Charlotte. I’m so proud of this one because I was and still am SO proud of my husband for landing an amazing job and the fact that after about a year of knowing we’d be moving (and many, many months of telling people we were going to move “at some point”) it was finally happening, our dreams were coming true! Plus, the support we received were amazing. I love this community. We so appreciate each and every comment!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! This is our first weekend in Charlotte with no traveling and no visitors. Crazy! We’re going to be productive Saturday and plan on relaxing Sunday after church. I just can’t wait!

  • This is such a great way to introduce new readers (like me!) to your blog. I totally agree about using a Starbucks gift card. I won’t go to Starbucks without it!

  • Aw, yay! Welcome. Seriously, love the gift card! It also helps us to keep our coffee purchases in check every month. :)

  • Now that I’ve learned about the Starbucks Card rewards I am addicted. Its ok though, because then I get one free every once in a while, right?

Also: that’s a cute looking pug on the calendar you are standing next to while showing off your style :)

  • I love these posts, because as a new reader it gives me a chance to catch up with some things :)
