Puppies vs. Babies.

I’d like to compare raising a puppy to raising babies, although I will probably kick myself for even saying that when I do have babies.

Some similarities:

-Lack of sleep.

-Up a few times at night to them crying.

-Watching every move they make since they can be very mischievous and like to eat things they shouldn’t be eating.

-They bite.

Okay, that last one doesn’t go for babies. Babies don’t have teeth.

Still, how can you not love this face?

We returned from wedding weekend and it was wonderful! Ashley looked absolutely gorgeous and the setting was SO beautiful. I plan on recapping the wedding very soon over at Ashley’s blog since she’s honeymooning it up right now. I’m currently in the process of trying to get back into a routine. Blogging is so hard to do with a puppy needing so much of my attention, but now that we’re home and not traveling too far for a while, I’ll be getting back on schedule in no time! We’re so happy to finally be able to be here for more than a few days at a time and able to start settling down now. We’re loving it!

  • Your puppy is getting so big! Truly adorable. I am excited for the wedding recap ;)

  • She is so cute, but I remember how exhausting puppies can be. They are so cute, but I like them much better when you don’t have to worry about them destroying your house! ;-)

  • Jen

    So, so cute!

When Nati was a puppy, we went to visit my aunt and uncle who had a newborn. We compared the similarities a lot and totally agreed that puppies are a good way to prepare you for kids!

  • Seriously! I’m so tired, but I do love nap times and the times she’s super sweet. She’s being extra crazy today, though!

  • WOW! She is ADORABLE! Puppies are A LOT of work. Are you having to take her out in the middle of the night for potty breaks?

  • hi! Im new to your blog via twitter! your pup is so adorable and yes, just like babies.. good practice;)

  • Ok, we need to make this playdate happen while Nola is still anywhere near Clyde’s size! :) Let me know if you want to get them together sometime soon!

  • Don’t forget the bathing and the cleaning up after accidents! I felt the exact same way when I was raising a little fur baby a year ago or so. It’s a very time-consuming yet rewarding experience :) I’m sure parenthood will be even more so, but having a pet is the best practice I can think of to prepare for it!

  • So cute! I want a dog :) Oh wait but i need a job!

  • Aww…such a precious looking face:) Glad the weekend was fun for you!

  • YES! Do you happen to have a fenced in backyard? Haha..
