wonderfully rainy birthday

Disney was a day to remember, for sure! It didn’t stop raining from the moment we got there at about noon until we left, a little after nine. It was also twenty degrees colder than predicted. Luckily, I wore my favorite shirt, a loose long-sleeve button up and brought a t-shirt just in case it got warm. It didn’t! We were cold, but my rain boots kept my toes warm & dry. I was the only person in rain boots but they saved me that day for sure, although my calfs are certainly paying for it now!

There aren’t any pictures from the day, really. Well, except for this one..

We managed to get a seat at the pub in England(Epcot) to have a beer and one of the ladies managed this crazy balancing act.

We ended up having to leave even our small camera in the car, since Adam’s “waterproof” jacket didn’t work super well after a few hours of constant rain.

We went Monday instead of Tuesday since it was supposed to rain all week. The weather was perfect on Tuesday, of course. But, Adam was right when he said “How many nice days have we had at Disney? Lots. How many crazy rainy days have we had? We had a memorable day.”. We certainly did. The lines were pretty short and we explored parts of Epcot we normally skip. Including making our own video game and roller coaster, which was tons of fun.

Hands down, my favorite birthday to date.

  • I am soo happy you made the best of it for your b-day! I am going to have to do the same for mine tomm, when I am in class :)

  • Glad you had such a fun day. The last time we went it was a total rain day too! It didn’t help the lines for us though unfortunately. Glad you had an awesome birthday!
