Our future adventures & a film camera.

You should watch this video..

Now, watch this (or you can watch part 2 first, but I didn’t want to bombard you with videos):

You can read about the story in this article, where I found the videos as well.

The videos gave me chills, brought tears to my eyes and an ache into my heart. I love Europe, especially the people. This video just makes me love them even more. This is such a beautiful story about a man’s journey and his adventure meeting new people in new countries and how just how welcoming they can be. It’s just a beautiful story in general.

Technically I’ve only been outside of one European airport and that was in Italy, but Italy has settled into my heart and set-up camp. Permanently. Mostly the people. I’m so blessed to have people over there that I still talk to on Facebook occasionally. Your life changes when you travel to new countries, at least mine did. I had to step out of my limited comfort zone and straight into a world where no one spoke my language. Onto a campus of thousands of students. I learned so much about myself and about other people. We’re all the same we just come from different cultures. Our world is bigger than we can imagine and I just want to explore as much of it as I can.

I cannot wait to go back to Italy and we plan on going this year. I’ve been three times actually, for two spring breaks and a summer. Adam actually lived there for a year and got to know the people better than I had in three visits, I can’t imagine how much he misses it, though he tells me often. Once we’ve moved, we can focus on saving up for that trip.

I can’t wait for new adventures.

Which reminds me, I need to update my passport.

And, I want a film camera.

  • I just found out that my fiance and I are going to our friends wedding in Italy in June! I am soooooooo excited!
