Just a walk in the neighborhood.

Thankfully, I’m feeling a little bit better about everything. I went out on that run today. Well, I actually only ran about a mile but walked three with a good friend and a sweet, sweet baby. Another one, not the one we hung out with last night. A lot of my friends have babies/are pregnant. Don’t give me that look.

I digress.

On my way back home, I tried to run a bit more but my legs hurt. That’s not a good sign. I decided to power walk it home, listen to music and take some pictures. You notice a lot more when you’re not running away from everything but walking and observing.

My neighborhood is really beautiful.

Ha, just kidding with that last picture. That was from our mini-golf date.

Today was a gorgeous, chilly day. I guess this is our spring weather? We don’t really get more than two seasons here. We get a smidge of winter, a little spring and a lot of summer. That may sound like paradise to some of you, but NOT me. I’m so not meant to be a Florida girl, bring on the four seasons!

I really never understood why everyone loved spring so much. I guess I love spring because I was born in the spring. But, weather wise, spring always equaled the return of the heat. Case in point? My wedding was May 9th and at least 100 degrees. No lie.

I just realized lately that I can’t wait to truly enjoy the springtime after a cold winter. You have to go through the rough, harsh weather of winter (literally and figuratively) to truly appreciate the warmth and life of spring. I can’t wait to truly enjoy it. Maybe I sound crazy, or maybe I just OD’d on the vitamin D today.

  • What lovely scenery for a walk! Hope you have a great night!

  • I LOVE your new blog style. It makes me smile. :)

  • Music to my ears, Krystina. Thank you, thank you, thank you! It’s weird transitioning into a new blog style and makes me feel a little more vulnerable. All that to say, I’m so glad you like it!

  • Yes yes, aren’t seasons wonderful!? They truly do make you appreciate the weather so much more :)

Can’t wait to have you in Charlotte soon!!!! You’ll love it here

  • Wanna trade? I’d LOVE less winter and more summer. I was meant to live in a warm climate!!

  • GORGEOUS photos! Did you edit those on the computer?
